Getting Started

How to get your Gemini API Key

Four steps. Takes about two minutes. You'll need a verified Gemini account first.

Sign in to Gemini

Open API Settings

Click your profile icon, then go to Settings → API. Or jump directly to the API settings page.

Create a New API Key

Click Create a new API key. Choose Primary scope, and enable Trader permissions so the agent can place orders on your behalf.

Copy Key & Secret

Save both the API Key and API Secret immediately — Gemini only shows the secret once. Paste them into the GAO login screen, and you're live.

Why this exists

The GAO was inspired by Gemini's launch of Agentic Trading — the first agentic trading tool offered directly through a regulated U.S. exchange. We built the GAO to put that capability in your pocket, with a UI tuned for traders who want autonomy without giving up control.
